Overview — Why choose a Trezor Hardware Wallet®?
A Trezor Hardware Wallet® stores cryptocurrency private keys in a physical, offline device — removing the keys from internet-exposed environments. This reduces exposure to malware, phishing and server-side breaches. The device signs transactions locally and displays all prompts on its screen for manual confirmation.
What you’ll use
- Trezor Wallet® (device) — the hardware that holds your keys.
- Trezor Suite App — official desktop/web interface for managing coins and firmware. (Search for Trezor Suite Download on the official site.)
- Trezor Bridge — optional connector for some browsers (install Trezor Bridge Download if prompted).
Getting started (official)
Start at trezor.io/start. Follow the guided flow: connect your device, install Suite (or use the web flow), initialize, set a PIN and carefully write down your recovery seed on paper.
Daily workflow & login
"Trezor Login" typically means connecting your device and unlocking it with your PIN inside Trezor Suite. Always confirm transaction details on the device screen before approving. Never share your recovery seed or type it into any website.
Troubleshooting common problems
If you face Trezor Login not working or are Unable to login Trezor, try these steps in order: switch USB cable/port, restart the PC, reinstall or update the Trezor Suite App, install or update Trezor Bridge if the browser asks for it, and check device firmware. Using the desktop Suite can often bypass browser permission issues.
When you see errors
- Error Connecting Trezor Account: check Bridge, firewall settings, and that only one wallet app is accessing the device.
- Trezor Suite App not Working / Can't verify Trezor Wallet: update the Suite, confirm prompts on the device screen, and avoid third-party tools during troubleshooting.
Account recovery & 2FA
Use your recovery seed to restore accounts on another Trezor® or compatible recovery solution. Trezor® itself does not use external 2FA for device access — security relies on seed phrase and PIN. References to "Trezor 2fa reset" usually concern exchanges or services that you connect to the wallet and must be handled via those services’ recovery flows.
